Class Dojo is our classroom management and communication tool. You will see classroom pictures, your child’s behavior, and messages from me. You will get a sheet with steps to sign up. Let me know if you need help.
Students will earn rewards by earning class dojo points. They can use them on things such as: lunch with a friend, prize box, sticker, candy, etc.

It is important that your child attends school regularly. If you will be arriving late, leaving early, or your child will be absent, let the school and teacher know.
Spelling lists words will be sent home on Mondays. Your child can practice the new words throughout the week. Our words will align with what phonic skills we are working on that week. Tests will be on Friday’s unless stated differently in the newsletter.
This is a special day for your child. We will celebrate on or as close to your child’s birthday. If they have a summer birthday, we will celebrate their ‘half birthday”. The birthday child may bring in treats for the entire class.
There will be two times for parent teacher conferences this year. October 10th and February 13th. Prior to these dates a Google Doc will be sent out for you to sign up for a time to meet.
Each night your child will bring home a folder. This will be our way of sending each other communication without getting wrinkled. You may send things to school such as book orders and notes.
Holiday parties will be celebrated at the end of October, before Christmas break, and near Valentine’s Day. A note will be sent home before each party.
I will send home a book order each month. If you choose to order you may do so online or send the order form and check made to Scholastic Book Clubs back to school. It is a great opportunity to expand your child’s library!
This school year there have been some updates to our playground. A large majority of our playground now has turf. There are many other fun new pieces of equipment and also a multipurpose field as well. We encourage students to keep this new addition clean and to respect this area.
We will be doing various activities throughout the school year. If you would like to volunteer for any classroom parties or activities, you can message me directly!
Students may bring one individual snack for themselves each day and leave it in their school bag until snack. Snack will take place during the afternoon snack break.
Students may bring a water bottle to school. We have a water bottle filling station right across the hall. Please do not have anything in them but water, no crystal light, etc.
Students will read books to earn a certificate to go bowling at L & L Lanes. Reading calendars will go home each month and be returned to school when completed. Certificates will be sent home with a completed calendar.
