April 10-14, 2023
In reading this week we read the story "The Mystery of the Albertosaurus". Students really enjoyed this nonfiction story about how scientists discovered that meat-eating dinosaurs lived and hunted together.
We also worked on drawing conclusions. Students have to use the clues from the text to come up with a conclusion about the text.
In math we started practicing for the Smarter Balance Assessment. We will be taking our first math test on Tuesday, April 18th.
We have continued to discuss life science. We discussed traits and how the environment can impact traits. Students also tested out heredity with a fish activity.
We have finished typing our informational text. Students are now turning their paper into a book and illustrating pictures for what they wrote.
