I graduated from Ethan High School in 2001, then earned my associate degree from Mitchell Technical Institute in 2003, then spent time as a general contract foreman for Robbins Construction before moving back to the Mitchell area in 2005. Since moving home, I have built and installed custom cabinetry for Weber Woodworking, designed roof and floor trusses for Timber Roots and designed trailers for Trail King. I joined the MCTEA team in 2019 with a passion for training the next generation of skilled tradesmen ready to build the future.
My wife, Wendy and I are raising our five daughters in the Ethan area. I am always tinkering in home improvement projects at our house or for family and friends. In my spare time, I follow the L.A. Rams and Minnesota Twins and enjoy camping and golfing in between my daughters' cross country, basketball, volleyball, track and gymnastics competitions, musical performances, and other activities.
"Woodworking matters. It's more than a pastime or hobby. Being a woodworker means that you know the satisfaction and pride that comes from using your hands and mind to build beautiful, functional objects, and that you're as interested in the process as the outcome. Amid the speed and chaos of the modern world, woodworking gives us a place where we can slow down, pay attention, and take the time to do things right."
