Students will explore the rights and duties of citizens during this semester long course. The beginning of the course will focus on citizenship before turning to the founding documents of our country, including the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Bill of Rights. We will then shift our attention to the amendments and the rights and protections included within. The course will conclude with an in-depth look into the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches. In addition to the coursework, students are required to complete a community service project during the semester.
