Parker STEM Lab is a special learning space that offers many advantages to students, helping them develop important skills for their future success. Students have the chance to participate in hands-on experiences such as building with Legos and Knexs, and coding robots as well as on the computer, which promotes creativity, technology skills, productivity, social abilities, effective communication, and a proactive mindset. This hands-on approach to learning also fosters leadership skills and gives students a sense of responsibility and confidence which will prepare them to face future challenges.
The STEM Lab not only helps students develop these skills but also encourages critical thinking and curiosity. Through projects, like circuitry rovers, Pneumatics scissor lift challenge, Presenting information, and learning about aerodynamics to name a few, students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and find answers. This process helps them expand their knowledge, deepen their understanding, and develop a growth mindset that encourages a love for learning throughout their lives.
Hello! I am Katherine Sayler. I live in Lennox with my husband Corey and our three children. A fun fact about me is I was married in Hawaii.
My oldest son, Nick, works at Twin City Fans in Elkton, SD. My son, Joseph, is a sophomore at SDSU, majoring in Business, and a Jackrabbit Men's Basketball Team member. Zoe is 15 years old, she is a very kind and compassionate kid. She loves to play with her friends, shoot hoops, and pass the volleyball around.
As a family, we enjoy attending sporting events, going for walks, watching movies, eating out, and hanging out with friends and Family! My husband, Corey, is a 5th-grade teacher in Lennox. Our family is new to the east side of the state, we are looking forward to exploring what the area has to offer.
I attended Black Hills State University and received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I was an aide in Todd County for 20 years and taught 3 years at White River Schools. This is my 25th year in education, I am excited about teaching STEM and looking forward to getting to know you and your student/s. Go Pheasants!
