In order to take part in the South Dakota Board of Regents dual credit program, junior students (or students that will be taking courses their junior year) need to meet any one of the following benchmarks:
Earn an ACT composite score of 24 reflective of the 70% percentile
Rank in upper one-third of their graduating class
Earn a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale
Saint Mary Catholic Schools allows students to take up to three dual credit courses per semester. For junior students, they are allowed one "skinny" for these courses per semester.

Earn a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
Saint Mary Catholic Schools allows students to take up to three dual credit courses per semester. For senior students, they are allowed two "skinnies" or one full block for these courses per semester.

The family of Joe and Marge Gunn are honored to award $150.00 Scholarships to two students from Dell Rapids St. Mary, for use in assisting to pay the tuition of their Dual Credit coursework. Students can be enrolled in courses either from South Dakota universities or technical colleges and will be selected by the administration and faculty of St. Mary’s High School.
