About me!
Meet Mr. Julius
Hello!
My name is Kyler Julius, I am the K-12 School Counselor here at De Smet. My goal is to assist these students in all of their academic, career, and social/emotional needs.
Before arriving in De Smet, I attended South Dakota State University where I earned a Bachelor in Science degree for Human Development and Family Studies, and a Master Degree in Science for Counseling and Human Resource Development with a specialization in School Counseling.
This picture to the left shows me at the bottom of Bryce Canyon in Utah. During this trip I also hiked Angels Landing at Zion National Park which is a strenuous hike of steep inclines and constant switchbacks. From the beginning to the end of the hike, you end up gaining around 1,500 feet of elevation. Exhausting, but incredibly worth it!
Some of my hobbies include golfing, water skiing, fishing, and watching all of my favorite sports teams, the Minnesota Twins, Wild, and Vikings. I also enjoy Hiking when I get the time to travel, and one of my favorite things to do is go Cliff Jumping in the Black Hills at Lake Pactola.
If you would like to set up a meeting with me, student or parent, please feel free to email me at kyler.julius@k12.sd.us or call me here at the school (605) 854-3674, ext. 4
Students and staff know my boundaries on this topic. My personal number is (605) 868-1940. Only in crises situations should this number be used.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis after school hours, please use the resources below.
