Math 8- In this class we will be working on mastery of 8th grade math standards.
Number Systems
Expressions and Equations
Functions
Geometry
Statistics and Probability
Students will engage in various strategies and methods to gain mastery of the required standards.
Math Lab- In this class students will receive instruction in areas that they have some instructional gaps. Our goal is to build stronger foundations for students before they go to high school.
E.I.- In this class students will engage in the use of MAP Accelerator and Reading Plus. These programs will strategically target the student’s current instructional level and provide for remediation, extra practice for grade level, or extension for beyond grade level, as well as engaging in PBIS lessons and incentives.
About me
Teaching
I have been teaching for 16 years, 9 of those were in middle school. I have taught all subjects and multiple grade levels. My most recent position was in intervention in Rapid City. I am so excited to be back in middle school!
Personal
South Dakota is a relatively new place for me. I am a transplant to the Black Hills, and I LOVE IT! I am married to a military veteran and daughter of a veteran, so I understand the unique experience of the military. I am a mom of four daughters, two are grown, the younger two are in middle school and high school. My oldest is a college graduate and my second oldest is about to begin her 3rd year at Fresno State in California. My younger 2 are attending school here in Douglas. I am also a grandma of two of the most wonderful little boys!
