THE BANNED BOOK CLUB
at Vandegrift Highschool
Welcome to the Vandegrift High School Banned Book Club! Join us in the library every other week. Our mission is to help students voice their opinions on the book censorship happening in our district, and create awareness on the issue through group statements, meetings, and author events! to learn how to join, click the tab above.
Currently reading: The Last Man - Brian K Vaughan and Pia Guerra
How does it work?
Over the course of a month, we read a novel that our club voted upon. During our meetings, we ask questions to allow students to share their opinions over the content of the novel we read. At the end of each novel, we collectively write a group statement on our opinions regarding the context and restrictions placed on the novel.
