We will be covering place value, addition, and multiplication

Quarter 2: 

We will be covering  subtraction, fractions, multiplication, measurement and weight.

Quarter 3:

We will be covering division, fractions, and mass.

Quarter 4:

We will be covering decimals, fractions, time, money, and angles

Language Arts 

Quarter 1: 

Reading: We will look at summarizing, sequence of events, and comparing and contrasting

Grammar: We will be looking at sentence types and structure, as well as nouns.

Spelling: We will be looking at short vowel sounds, long A, E, I, and O, 

Quarter 2: 

Reading: We will look at summarizing, sequence of events, and comparing and contrasting

Grammar: We will be looking at nouns, pronouns, and proofreading. 

Spelling: We will be looking at digraphs, prefixes, blends, and suffixes. 

Quarter 3 

Reading: We will look into Author's point of view, asking questions, and making predictions 

Grammar: We will focus on linking verbs and  pronouns 

Spelling: We will focus on plural words, compound words, and different endings to words 

Quarter 4: 

Reading: We will look at summarizing, sequence of events, and comparing and contrasting

Grammar: We will be looking at adverbs, negatives, and prepositions

Spelling: We will be looking at suffixes and prefixes and Homophones

Science

Quarter 1

We will be focusing on plate tectonics, rocks, and erosion.

Quarter 2

We will be focusing on plants and animals. 

Quarter 3

We will be learning about circuits and energy

Quarter 4 

We will be focusing on motion and light refraction

Social Studies 

Quarter 1 

This quarter we will be learning about volcanoes and migration.

 Quarter 2 

This quarter we will be learning about early Hawaiian society and evolution of Hawaiian society 

 Quarter 3 

This quarter we will be learning about the  Ahupua'as and create our own creations! 

Quarter 4

This quarter we will be learning about the  government on early Hawaii and the Hawaiian Kingdom.
