Registration will begin for the 2025-2026 school year on
January 24 - February 1, 2025

Please read the following important information, then follow the steps listed below before you complete the Elective Registration Form at the bottom of this page.
Step 1: Determine if you need to submit a Geographic Exception (GE)
Proof of residency documents are NOT required for students attending Waiakea Elementary or Waiakeaweana and living in the Waiakea Intermediate District.
If your child does not attend Waiakea El or Waiakeawaena schools you will need to apply for a Geographic Exception (GE)
WIS feeder school students, if you live outside of the Waiakea Intermediate School district and attend Waiakea Elementary or Waiakeaweana families will need to submit a GE application and turn it into your school office, NOT Waiakea Intermediate.
The GE period is from January 1, 2025 to March 1, 2025

Students must attend the school that serves the geographic area where they reside unless they have an approved geographic exception form. You can search for your school using our SchoolSite Locator tool* — when you enter an address, service boundaries for that area's elementary, middle, and high school will be generated. *The SchoolSite Locator Tool provides a general approximation of that area's school and does not correctly account for an address located on a school's geographical boundary line. Please contact the school directly to verify it is the correct school, as service boundaries can change.
