Databases

Our library has subcriptions to several databases that feature math and STEM-related content. Those highlighted here are good starting points for multimedia support for your curriculum.

When you navigate to the Britannica School version to suit your students' age group (elementary, middle, or high), at the top of the home page click on "Educators" at the top horizontal menu to browse lesson plans, view tutorials, and a user guide to help you utilize the database as a planning resource. Use the simple search bar on the home page to see results that students would find if they conduct a topic search.

With Learn360, teachers and students can stream and/or download from a premium library of more than 151,000 handpicked videos, video clips, interactives, teacher guides, audio programs, math activities, timelines, and more. Access engaging, standards-aligned math lessons on a wide range of topics, with related games and activities.

In World Book Online, select Discover or Student versions, then click on Educator Tools at the top right and search for material by content area and grade level to view all the standards-aligned resources, including articles, games, lessons, and media.

Swank offers legal, convenient access to thousands of feature films, documentaries and foreign films to support classroom instruction. Students, check with your teachers for access. Teachers, if you haven’t set up your account yet, please consult the Teacher Guide emailed to you, or ask the librarian. You can set up Google Classroom to assign videos in Swank as well.
