Parent-Community Networking Centers (PCNCs) serve to create supportive partnerships among the home, the school, and the community for the purposes of supporting student success, and building a sense of family and community. PCNCs are school-based for parents, families and community to identify strengths, collaborate, make decisions and create partnerships. The mission of the PCNC is to develop a sense of community and a caring, learning network to strengthen family, neighborhood, school and classroom for every student’s well-being and attainment of standards.
The PCNC, assists with networking students and their families with the resources and services of other agencies. The PCNC also plans and coordinates parent activities to encourage involvement in making a difference in education and in the lives of students and their families.
