Waikoloa School Return to Learn Plan
Waikoloa School has established the Return to Learn Plan based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) and Hawaii Department of Health (DOH).
Transitioning Between Models
In order to facilitate a smooth transition between instructional models (indicator levels), a minimum of three weeks will occur from the initial indicator level change before the transition takes place. A daily color change would not necessitate an immediate change to instructional model. The three weeks will include:
Two weeks of consistent days at the new indicator level
One week of communication and preparation for transition to next instructional model
Please note: Any transition to a more restrictive model due to an increase in cases can be immediate and will be determined by the principal and complex area superintendent.
