Safety Information

Place fans out of reach of small children (e.g. at window level) to discourage the insertion of objects, such as pencils or fingers, into the fan.

Do not open windows and doors if doing so poses a safety or health risk (i.e. risk of falling, triggering asthma symptoms) to children using the facility.

Follow electrical safety precautions, including extension cord safety precautions.

Prepare teachers and faculty to immediately close windows and doors in addition to turning off lights when emergency action drills are declared (e.g. lockdown, shelter-in-place). Please note that doors should always be in the “lock” position so that they’re immediately locked when closed.
