Welcome to Kailua Intermediate School!
The Kailua Intermediate School Mark Takai Transition Center (TC) provides new students to KIS an inviting and inclusive environment to connect with other students, learn about the culture of the Aloha State, and enjoy friendship-building activities.
Our Pūʻōlā are Kailua Intermediate School’s ambassadors to new students. These young leaders welcome students to our KIS Ohana through their initial tour; they also provide a personal connection on a student's first day and a familiar face in the classroom. Aside from tours, our Aloha Ambassadors also play a key role in our school community as a peer resource to all students. Whether through volunteer activities, or friendship in the classroom, our Ambassadors help maintain a fun and inclusive environment here at KIS.
