The Porpoise Project

Over the past month, the GT students did some research on hunger vs food insecurity. They found out that in Hawaii, 1 in 8 people are facing hunger everyday, and 1 in 6 children do not know where to get food for their next meal. This comes out to over 170,000 people facing hunger and of them over 54,ooo are children! For this reason, the main goal of The Porpoise Project is to raise money to feed those in need.

Additionally, The Porpoise Project will also help encourage the community to be more self-sustainable, grow their own food, support local businesses and bring the Aiea community together. Imagine how big an impact we would make if we all contributed to help the community!
