Academic Team Commander

As a member of the Academic Team, cadets learn and compete in a variety of competitions that consist of curriculum from Naval Science textbooks, Cadet Field Manual, and general high school academics.

Meeting twice a week, cadets are in a learning environment that is academically challenging, fun, fast-paced, and have a common goal of academic achievement while representing our unit towards education excellence.

Throughout the school year, cadets compete with JROTC programs throughout the country. Taking test in competitions such as Joint Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB), Brain Brawl, and National Academic Exams (NAE), all while earning the Academic award ribbon for participation and dedication.
