READ, EXPLORE, and LEARN at the QKS Library!
Welcome to the Queen Ka`ahumanu Elementary School Library! At our Library, our goals are to READ as many books as we can, EXPLORE different types of books and learning tools, and LEARN using all of the knowledge we gained through reading and exploring books.
Library borrowing policy
Kindergarten: 1 book for 2 weeks
Grades 1-5: 2 books for 2 weeks
All students receive a yellow book bag to help protect the books from liquids/other damages, and to remind them to return books on Library Specials Day so that they may borrow new books.
Here is the link to our Online Library Catalog if you wish to see what kind of books our library has:
Students wrote about what (and whom) they were thankful for.
Students created their own "Dot" (Artwork), based on Peter H. Reynolds' book "The Dot"
Students brainstormed and created structures and patterns with heart shapes
Writing words of forgiveness and releasing the heavy feelings and guilt.
Everyone's creations brought together to bring beauty to a flower.
