The Gold Standard PBL framework is introduced during PBL 101 with PBLWorks. It consists of 7 Design Elements and 7 Teaching Practices. It describes Project Based Learning from the teaching perspective.
The HQPBL framework is an open resource that was created through a collaborative effort. It describes Project Based Learning from the student perspective. There are 6 criteria for what learners should experience during PBL. (Note: the Gold Standard framework is aligned with HQPBL, because it describes the teacher actions that could create space for HQPBL)
You might try using some of these protocols to support designing and facilitating project-based learning in your classrooms. Protocols are ways to structure your class.
