Founded by Scarlett Lewis, the Choose Love Curriculum integrates social emotional learning with Character Education, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Neuroscience, and Emotional Intelligence. The program, which aligns with the Common Core State Standards, was created by a collaboration of Educators, Counselors, Psychologist, and Professors. The program consists of comprehensive units that include Lesson Concepts, Standards, Objectives, Materials needed, and Teacher Scripts. Students gain awareness in the movement’s Core Values of Courage, Gratitude, Forgiveness, and Compassion in Action which encourage them to be guided by and demonstrate these traits in their thoughts and actions.
