The Reinventing Education Act, Act 51, passed by the 2004 Hawaii Legislature defines the Academic Financial Plan. The AFP is a comprehensive school plan that aligns the school’s available resources to instructional and student support activities, targeted interventions to achieve proficiency in the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards (HCPS) and the General Learner Outcomes (GLOs). The Plan also includes the school’s profile, School Strategic Plan, Prioritized Interventions and the budget based on Weighted Student Formula.
The Targeted Interventions are founded on the DOE’s 3 goals:
1. Improve student achievement through standard-based education.
2. Provide comprehensive support for all students.
3. Continuously improve performance and quality.
All of our resources: personnel, facilities, and funding are directed to address these goals.
