OCID, in collaboration with Canva, Ltd., will continue to offer training opportunities for School Year 2025-2026. This will include an educator cohort opportunity and webinars. Space is limited. All sessions will be recorded.
Spring 2026 Hawaiʻi Educator Canva Collective Cohort
The Office of Curriculum and Instructional Design (OCID), in collaboration with Canva, Ltd., will be offering a Canva Collective cohort opportunity in the Spring 2026.
The ‘Hawai‘i Educator Canva Collective’ cohort, designed exclusively for Hawaiʻi educators, is a series of four (4) required interactive sessions will deepen your knowledge of Canva for Education and empower you with practical strategies to integrate it into your classroom teaching:
Session 1: February 10, 3:00-4:30 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 2: March 3, 3:00-4:30 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 3: March 31, 3:00-4:30 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 4: April 28, 3:00-4:30 p.m. (Virtual)
Participants will also:
Design, develop and implement at least four (4) Canva activities and share feedback during the training sessions.
Registration Process
Participants must register via LearnSoft. Search for “Canva Collective". Click here for instructions on how to enroll in LearnSoft. (Be sure to register for ALL FOUR instances/sections.
Registered participants will receive their registration confirmation and additional information about attending the training (e.g., online meeting link).
OCID will update participants’ credit hours in LearnSoft upon completion of the session.
Participation in the cohort will not be for credit.

OCID is offering a pilot program for the 2024-2025 school year. A limited number of MagicSchool licenses will be available to Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) K-12 teachers and staff that teach or support computer science. These licenses are valid through June 30, 2025.
MagicSchool Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an innovative platform designed specifically for educators to streamline their workload and enhance the learning experience in K-12 classrooms. MagicSchool offers a responsible and equitable AI environment that fosters AI literacy skills for educators. In addition, MagicSchool AI equips educators with robust tools to create interactive, engaging, and customized lessons, activities, and assessments that align with K-12 Computer Science Teachers Association standards.
