OCID, in collaboration with Canva, Ltd., will continue to offer training opportunities for School Year 2025-2026. This will include an educator cohort opportunity and webinars. Space is limited. All sessions will be recorded.
Fall 2025 Hawaiʻi Educator Canva Collective Cohort
These interactive sessions will deepen your knowledge of Canva for Education and empower you with practical strategies to integrate it into your classroom teaching.
Participants will be required to complete the following throughout the year:
Attend four (4) training sessions:
Session 1: August 26, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 2: September 9, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 3: September 23, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (Virtual)
Session 4: October 14, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (Virtual)
Optional Session: TBD Face-to-Face at Schools of the Future Conference (October 16 or 17)
Design, develop and implement at least four (4) Canva activities and share feedback during the training sessions.

OCID is offering a pilot program for the 2024-2025 school year. A limited number of MagicSchool licenses will be available to Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) K-12 teachers and staff that teach or support computer science. These licenses are valid through June 30, 2025.
MagicSchool Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an innovative platform designed specifically for educators to streamline their workload and enhance the learning experience in K-12 classrooms. MagicSchool offers a responsible and equitable AI environment that fosters AI literacy skills for educators. In addition, MagicSchool AI equips educators with robust tools to create interactive, engaging, and customized lessons, activities, and assessments that align with K-12 Computer Science Teachers Association standards.
