Our 4th-grade students will engage in a variety of activities designed to foster community stewardship and develop essential skills. Through the Free Store project, students will learn about the importance of giving back to their community by partnering with organizations such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Military & Family Support Center. They will enhance their communication skills by writing letters, and creating commercials and advertisements for our Nimitz Ohana. Students will also develop their data collection and organizational skills by managing inventory using Google spreadsheets and maintaining the store's upkeep and fulfillment. Additionally, they will gain experience in technology by updating the school website and acknowledging donation and request forms. This project will help students understand the value of community service and equip them with practical skills that are essential for their future.
