5/19/2020 - LAST REMINDER

Attention US History Students and Guardians

This website in addition to Google Classroom will be where you will be able to find up to the minute information regarding US History for this 4th Quarter. Under the leadership of the Superintendent Dr. Christina M. Kishimoto, NHIS will provide information enrichment opportunities for the remainder of the school year (Office of Superintendent, March 24, 2020). Instead of trying to cram the remaining standards into half of the instructional time, rather we have decided to use this quarter to produce a primary source that will document the historic worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, as our summative assessment. This Summative Assessment will be worth 50% of your score. For your citizenship points you have to keep record of your chores. You get 3 points for each chore you do and citizenship is worth 50% of your score. You will need to get 9 citizenship points per week to get full credit.

Quarter 4 Enrichment

Make sure all US History Students are in the US History Google Classroom. Instead of being separated by period we will all be in that same Google Classroom (Join Code: qgzd2d5 ).

For the Remainder of the Quarter you will be working on your Valley Under the Virus Project.

Citizenship

You will keep track of your chores. For each chore that you complete you will earn 3 citizenship points. You can earn as much citizenship points as you want but you must get 9 citizenship points per week to get full credit. This is submitted weekly and cannot be made up. More information about citizenship points can be found on Google Classroom.
