Meet Ms. Lawlor

My name is Kristen Lawlor. This will be my 7th year of teaching, and 5th year teaching 2nd grade. I was born and raised outside of Philadelphia. I graduated from Penn State University, majoring in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. I taught at Kahului Elementary, Kula Elementary, and in Fairfax County, Virginia. Last year I received my National Boards Teacher Certification, and cannot wait to implement more project-based learning and arts integration strategies throughout instruction. I am very excited to be joining the Pomaika'i Ohana, and am ready to begin our journey of learning together!

In my spare time when I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family, surfing, running, traveling, or at Target! I am so excited to get to know you all, and build our classroom ohana together.
