Meet Your Teacher!!!

My name is Michelle Nauta (think Nautical) and I am so excited for the upcoming school year.

A little about myself...

I love kindergarten!!! I have been a kindergarten teacher for twelve years now!

My passions include: Outrigger Canoeing, Snowboarding, playing the ukulele, hiking, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, reading, and playing with my bunnies Fenrys and Marshmellow.

My favorite colors are: turquoise and hot pink.

My favorite foods are: spaghetti, shave ice, corn dogs, and rouladen (a german dish my mom makes).

My favorite drinks are: Lemonade, Starbucks (coffee frappuccino), and Pepsi (Cherry Pepsi if it's available).

Random things I love: I love the little things you can get at the Swap Meet (silly I know but I love them. Soaps, wooden bowls, leis, lotions, purses, etc.), Pura vida bracelets, Gilmore Girls, Hawaiian music, Lilo and Stitch, Hallmark Christmas movies, Rothy's, Scentsy.

I am married to my amazing husband Jeremy and we have two kids; Tyler who is a girl and in 12th grade and Connor who is a boy and in 10th grade. We have a black and white bunny named Fenrys and a white bunny named Marshmellow.

I love watching sports! My football team: Seattle Seahawks. My baseball team: New York Yankees. My hockey team: New York Rangers. My basketball team: Sacramento Kings.

I went to college in Monterey, CA. where I received a Bachelors in Liberal Studies with a minor in E.S.S.P. (Earth, Systems, Science, and Policy) My teaching credential is from Cal State TEACH. My Masters is from CSU Monterey Bay in Instructional Science and Technology (Computer Science).
