Attendees:

• HIDOE Middle/Intermediate Schools are invited to send teams of 10 participants (8-students and 2-adults) to attend the event. Students and Teacher representatives are asked to wear their school shirt to the event!

• Location: The MLSL 2024 Summit will be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki from 8:00a - 3:30p.

Student Presenters:

• Schools may submit proposals for student facilitators to be considered. An additional 4-students and 1-adult may be added to the school's count as attendees, if the proposal for "Leading Spaces" is accepted.

Costs/Funding:

• There is no registration fee to attend.

• Substitute funding will be provided for participating classroom teachers, as needed.

• Funding will be provided to neighbor-island schools for flights. Schools will book their own flights via P-cards, and reimbursements covered through OCID.

• Buses will pick-up all neighbor-island participants and transport to/from HNL airport on day of the event.

• Rental vans for neighbor-island schools booking through Mokulele Airlines (ie: Moloka'i & Lanai) will be coordinated individually so remote school teams do not need to coordinate with the main buses from airport to event.

Meals:

• The Hilton Hawaiian Village will provide a continental breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for attendees.

State Public Charter Schools:

Limited space will be made available for charter schools interested in attending. Due to funding parameters, the following expenses would become the responsibility of charter school teams interested in participating:

• Substitute costs for teachers

• Travel to/from event venue for teachers and students 

• $99.00 meal cost per attendee
