Aloha Families,
I am so excited to begin this school year with you and your children. Our classroom will
be a place where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow—not only in their academics
but also in their confidence, creativity, and kindness.
Before pursuing my degree in Elementary Education at UH West Oʻahu, I worked as a
tutor for K–5 students. That experience helped me realize that teaching is more than a job—it’s
my calling. I discovered how much joy there is in supporting students as they overcome
challenges and celebrating their successes along the way. This journey has shaped my goal as a
teacher candidate: to treat every child with care, patience, and understanding, while helping them
discover their own strengths. This year, we will explore new skills in reading, writing, math,
science, and social studies, while also learning how to be thoughtful friends and responsible
classmates. I believe that children thrive when school and home work together as partners, and I
am grateful for the opportunity to learn alongside your keiki in Room 26.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, ideas, or even just to say hello—I would love to
get to know you better. Together, we will make this a wonderful and memorable year of growth
and discovery.
With gratitude,
Chaeyoon (Yoonah) Cho
