About Miss Shelby

Hello!

My name is Shelby Conner and I am delighted to be a student teacher here at Hahaione Elementary School. I am in my senior year working toward my Bachelor of Elementary and Special Education degree at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I will be mentored by Miss Evans as I learn to support students in the classroom. I'll be in the classroom once a week during quarter 1. In quarter 2, I will be in the classroom four days a week.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, going to the beach, as well as spending time with family and friends. I am excited to be working in a 3^rd-grade classroom under the mentorship of Miss Evans! I have a passion for helping others which is what inspired me to want to become a teacher. I have coached volleyball with children from K-12^th grade, worked at an after-school care program for 2 years. Previously I supported students at another elementary school with strengthening their reading skills.
