My name is Keli Okinishi, and I am so excited to be in your class this semester. I am a student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. This will be my final semester of student teaching, and teaching has always been a passion of mine. My passion for teaching at the elementary level was strengthened when I had the opportunity to write and direct a short program for children at the public library in Pearl City.
Through student teaching this semester, I hope to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students. I also hope to have a fun and engaging semester with you all!
About Me:
I grew up on O’ahu in Waikele and Pearl City. I enjoy doing anything that has to do with the performing arts: singing, dancing, and acting. I also enjoy hiking with my friends (if you like , Palisades Hike in Pearl City has a beautiful waterfall at the end of the hike).
