Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Ms. Alexis, and I am a teacher candidate attending the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in the Exceptional Students & Elementary Education (ESEE) program. I will be doing an array of observations, classroom assistance, lesson planning, and teaching in the classroom. I will be in their class Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m-12:00 p.m. till the first week of May.
During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and trying new things. I grew up as a Military Brat and been able to call many places home which has opened the door for my love of traveling. I am excited to be working with your child and being able to be in the classroom with them. It was in the 10th grade when I first had the idea that I wanted to become an educator to be able to help students find their confidence in themselves.
Some of my experience working with students and children includes working as a teacher helper at an elementary school for a year. I was also a group leader for the YMCA Camps for three years.
I am thankful to have this opportunity and look forward to learning under the mentorship of Ms. Evans and working with your child to support their learning.
Please feel free to reach out to me about any questions you may have alexispe@hawaii.edu
Aloha,
Alexis Perez
