Summary of trip:
Students took the driver's seat (metaphorically) to explore Oahu's diverse ecosystems, history, and culture. Starting at historic McKinley High School, students were guided by student tour guides through the H1 freeway, on to the the H2, through Wahiawa town to tour the Value-Added Product Development Center, then on to Haleiwa town where students were provided the opportunity to stroll through the historic town and enjoy Matsumoto Shave Ice. Following the scenic North Shore view and the Windward coast, a quick stop at Leeward Community College was made to hear about their offered programs. The tour concluded with a stop at the Nuuanu Pali for its breath taking views and unique climate.
