Listen to books read aloud! Parents you can pause the story, and ask questions!

  • what is the characters name?

  • what is the character doing?

  • where is the character?

  • what do you think will happen next?

  • why did that happen?

This doesn't have a nice link box, but this website has celebrities reading books aloud.

This website has a variety of simple books to more complex on various subjects. Ideas in ways to incorporate speech into this website

  • read aloud with your child and ask questions as you go

  • have your child "read" the story (make it up if they aren't reading yet)

  • target their speech sounds using the pictures you see in the book

  • target vocabulary (i.e. verbs, adjectives, nouns)

  • have your child retell the story

  • if inspired, have your child make their own book! I would LOVE to what they create!
