The Makalapa Elementary GT program utilizes a "pull-out" service model. During the school day, qualifying students leave their standard classrooms for designated blocks of time to work directly with the GT Coordinator and their GT peers.

During these sessions, we focus on extending and enriching standard academic skills. Our curriculum heavily emphasizes:

• Advanced Research: Finding, evaluating, and synthesizing credible information.

• Academic Writing: Crafting compelling arguments and detailed reports.

• Public Speaking & Presentation: Communicating complex ideas confidently to judges, peers, and experts.

• Critical Thinking: Approaching real-world problems with creative, out-of-the-box solutions.
