8:00am - 9:30am : 1st instructional block
9:30am - 9:45am : Break
9:45am - 11:15am : 2nd instructional block
11:15am - 11:30am : Break
11:30am - 1:00pm : 3rd instructional block
Attendance and tardies will be recorded for the three block periods each day.
Two (2) tardies equals to one (1) period absence.
Students are allowed up to nine (9) period absences (equivalent to 3 full days). On the tenth (10) period absence, student will be released from the summer school program.
Missing more than ½ of the period due to a tardy or early dismissal will be considered an absence for that period.
For all Hawai'i DOE public school students: Summer School tuition is FREE. Fill out the registration form online using the button above. Registration will run from March 5, 2025 - April 4, 2025
For private or non-DOE students: Registration will not be complete until payment is received. Check or money order payments only. Checks should be made to Leilehua High School. Be sure to include students full name and course selected in the note section of the check. Payment should be mailed or dropped off at:

Tuition Cost:
Year Course, 1 credit: $190
Semester Course, .5 credit: $95 ($190 for two semester courses)
Receipts will be emailed to the email address that was provided on registration form.

Parents/guardians must register their child for summer school courses.
Registration does NOT guarantee a seat in the summer class, it begins the application process.
Only allowed to enroll in up to one credit for summer school: two .5 credit courses or one credit class. Courses are subject to availability.
If needed, communicate with your child’s school counselor prior to registration to determine if the course enrolling in is relevant to the child's educational goals.
When filling out registration form, please ensure that information is filled out accurately (student name, emails, phone #s, home address).
If classes are full – and you registered, you will be notified.
LIMITED SEATS for all courses
Transportation is the responsibility of the student & parents/guardians.
School bus transportation is not available during summer school.
Concession will be available every break. Cafeteria lunch will not be served.
Report cards will sent home via email. Please make sure email address provided on registration form is accurate and is checked regularly.
All DOE Chapter 19 rules apply. In addition, regulations from the Department of Education Chapter 19 - subchapter 3, STUDENT MISCONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE IN SUMMER SCHOOL will be strictly enforced.
