Blending cards allow for students to blend words and recode with kinesthetic movement.
Once you know your students deficiencies from the Wonders Progress Monitoring, select the matching set of blending cards and use them at least 3 x per week.
Take a look at the video below for an example of blending cards. Students would utilize a printed copy in the same fashion for in-person lessons.
The CORE Phonics Survey can be used as a screening measure for struggling readers who have specific needs. Administer the survey and choose the corresponding Weekly Skill set doc (below) and administer until student is proficient.
Weekly skill set lessons can be used to address deficiencies in specific areas. Each document has a complete instructional routine for 3 days in one week.
