Use the Lab

Need to work in the lab before school, during lunch, during free periods? You must reserve a space on the lab's booking calendar at least 6 hours ahead of time. The lab is not a hangout spot, but a resource available for students' independent making. You must have passed the lab's general safety test to use the lab independently.

To maintain a safe, efficient, professional production environment, this lab operates under a strict Two-Strikes Policy.

A student will receive an official strike for any of the following infractions:

• No-show/late cancel: You book a slot but fail to show up within the first 5 minutes of that block or fail to cancel your reservation at least 12 hours in advance. This prevents others from using the slot. 

• Not cleaning up your mess.

• Treating the lab as a hangout spot; the lab is for getting work done. Go hang out under a tree outside.

• Safety violations automatically count as two strikes.
