Kapolei High School’s Law and Public Safety Academy (LAPS) is a 3-year instructional pathway that fosters students’ proficiency in foundational skills and principles needed in the fields of law and public safety by providing authentic classroom instruction, on site field training and workplace experience in preparation for college and career readiness.

The Law and Public Safety Academy inspires students to serve their community while focusing on career and college preparedness through problem solving, communication, analysis, and leadership roles through active exploration of careers in the fields of law and public safety.
The Law and Public Safety Academy provides students an opportunity to learn about a wide spectrum of service career fields to meet the needs of our community.
The LAPS academy is committed to establishing and maintaining a working relationship with the many community institutions, agencies and branches of government, private sector partners, colleges and institutions of higher learning; State of Hawaii Department of Education, business and industrial councils.
