Dear Kaimuki High School Ohana, 

My name is Reid Yoshikawa, and I am honored to serve as the Athletic Director at Kaimuki High School. As a proud alumnus of Kaimuki, this school has held a special place in my heart since I first walked through its doors as a ninth grader. That deep connection has only grown over the years, as I’ve served in the Department of Education for more than two decades as both a teacher and coach.

Athletics has played a significant role in shaping my personal and professional journey. I firmly believe that sports provide students with invaluable life lessons; fostering teamwork, leadership, discipline, and perseverance. At Kaimuki, our athletic programs are built upon the foundational principles of

These core values not only guide our athletes on the field but most importantly it helps shape their character off it. Our ultimate goal is for every student-athlete to leave Kaimuki striving to be the best version of themselves, prepared to take on every challenge that may arise, along with having the mindset to never give up in order to succeed in all areas of life.
