Ewa Makai Middle School or Ilima Intermediate School applicants (8th grade students)

AVID is designed to increase school-wide learning and performance. The mission of AVID is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. AVID students will:
Succeed in a rigorous curriculum,
Be active in school activities,
Increase enrollment in four-year colleges, and
Become educated and responsible participants and leaders in a democratic society
To provide academic instruction and other support to students and to prepare them for eligibility to four-year colleges and universities
