SDLP includes a teacher assigned to students. While some teachers utilize asynchronous instructional materials and assignments, it is not an independent, self-paced program.

📌 Important Notes:
- The decision to enroll a student in the State Distance Learning Program is made collaboratively by your home-base school principal and the complex area superintendent. This ensures that distance learning is the best educational choice for your child.
- Not all Hawaiʻi DOE public schools partner with SDLP. Some schools offer their own distance learning programs. Check with your school to confirm participation.
- Hawaiʻi State Public Charter Schools do not participate in SDLP. Please contact your charter school directly for their distance learning options.
