Since 2023, the Hawai'i Department of Education in partnership with Sidewinder Films offers a FREE screening of the film "Waterman" annually for all 7th graders in HIDOE public and charter schools each August. This annual event celebrates Duke Kahanamoku's birthday and highlights his life and legacy as Hawaii's Ambassador of Aloha.
