Due to state zoning and route availability, HIDOE school bus service for Hickam Elementary is exclusively available for students residing in Onizuka Village.
If you live in other base housing areas or off-base, your student is not eligible for the yellow school bus service to Hickam Elementary.
Please note the application windows for this school year:

If you live in Onizuka Village, you must submit a bus application each school year. Applications are processed entirely through the state portal.
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications must be submitted on a QUARTERLY basis and will not be accepted outside of the indicated periods. Please plan accordingly.

Once your application is approved, you will receive instructions on how to pay via EZ School Pay and print your temporary bus pass.
Payment Options (Effective July 1, 2026):
eCheck: No transaction fee
Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX): $2.75 service fee per transaction
If payment is not received by the quarterly deadline, your approved application will be removed and your student may lose their seat on the bus.
