You can park in any stall in front of the building.
Getting there
Those of you who already have your security passes (you should get them in the mail by Tues, Jan 23 or sooner) or already have base access, bring your pass / ID to show the guard station and drive over the bridge to the NOAA facility. We will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Everyone else should meet at the Hālawa (Aloha Stadium) Park & Ride at 7:30 am to pick up their passes. Google Maps has old satellite info so I'm attaching a newer satellite image on the left and have directions to where you need to turn left into the parking lot. After you make a left from Salt Lake Blvd, park in one of the stalls closest to the crosswalk so we can find each other more easily. Call Leon at 808-208-2926 if you run into any issues.
What to bring
Security pass and photo ID to show at the guard station. Your pass is good for all 3 days of the workshop so please keep it safe and bring it back daily!
You'll also need your photo ID to check-in with NOAA security in the IRC
We will have a light breakfast and we will be supplying lunch, but if you'd like to bring additional snacks or your own food, you are welcome to do so.
Closed-toe shoes (no crocs) to tour the Fisheries Lab at the IRC.
Water bottle and tumbler/mug. There are refillable water and coffee stations.
Jacket. It can get cold in the building.
Laptop/Tablet. We will be using online tools and starting to work on learning products.
