Events

Practice will be held every Mondays and Fridays from 2-3:30pm, unless it's a holiday.

Required Forms:

1. Covid 19 Vaccination for all participants, coaches, volunteers (2 weeks since 2nd dose)

   • Exemptions only for approved medical and religious reasons; no weekly testing option

   • A photo copy must be sent or given to kristy.hankinson@k12.hi.us

2. Completed SA-1 form

3. Reach Hawaii Concussion Awareness Management Plan (HCAMP) Certification

   • Must be completed by 1 parent/guardian and the student participating

   • HCAMP certification completed BEFORE starting the activities-emailed to kristy.hankinson@k12.hi.us or erickjustin.domingo@k12.hi.us

4. Maui Waena REACH Policies & Code of Conduct Form

   • 1. I will follow all HIDOE and Maui Waena school rules and policies including Chapter 19 offenses

   • 2. I will follow current COVID 19 regulations while participating in my REACH activity at school and in the community (ex: mask wearing, social distancing)

   • 3. I will maintain passing grades (D or above) in all of my classes

     • Students will have grade checks and are subject to missing practices and games if they do not maintain grades

   • 4. If suspended from school, I will not be able to participate in REACH sports while I am suspended. Continued participation in practices and games will be determined by Administration, Coach, or REACH Coordinator.

   • 5. I will be on time for practices and games.

     • If you know you will be late, you must communicate with your coach.

     • Continued lateness will result in consequences determined by the coach

   • 6. I will notify the coach of any injuries before or during play

   • 7. I will show good sportsmanship and will play fairly

A violation can result in the loss of participation in this activity, which will be determined by the Coach, REACH coordinator, or MWIS administration.

Maui 5K for Kids : March 6th, 2022

Online registration for 2022 is open! Come join us for the 11th annual Maui 5K presented by the Maui Ocean Center! Mark your calendars for Sunday March 6th 2022 to raise funds for your school! There will be a timed 5K race and an untimed 1 Mile Run/Walk for Keiki and all adults.

Online entry fee is $30.00/person and 1-Mile is $25.00/person (plus a minimal online processing fee). Online registration closes on March 3th at midnight.

Be sure to sign up before February 22, 2022 in order to have a t-shirt of the correct size reserved for you. Late sign ups will be accepted at race packet Pick up but t-shirt sizes will be limited and you may not receive the correct size.

Challenge your classmates to run for your school and help spread the word during your next family get together! Please sign up and get outside where the air is clean and healthy and run with us!
