XEP0100 INTEGRATED STEM:  AVIATION & Engineering

ASE (Aviation, Science, Engineering) is a Semester STEM course that focuses on Flight and Aerospace.  Students will use the Engineering Design Process to explore Aviation and Aerospace based concepts.  Students will learn about the Principles, FAA Guidelines, Piloting Basics, History and Mechanics of Flight during our Aviation Unit through a partnership with the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and quarter long project building Balsa wood gliders.  Our Aerospace unit focus is on space exploration and rocketry.  Students will learn about the History, Principles and Physics of Rocketry.  Students will use technology to design and simulate tests prior to creating physical models of projects.
