You can share your responses with the counseling team by emailing Mr. Rivers at Loren.Rivers@k12.hi.us. After we receive them, we can put them up here for everyone to see. Also, if you have an idea for a challenge everyone can try, let us know!
*Include your first name and grade level so we can give you credit!
Chalenge #1. Do a Random Act of Kindness: A RAK is something nice and thoughtful we can do for others. It feels great to something nice for someone else:)
Here are some you can look forward to trying when we get back to school and see each other: When we get back!
Here's The Challenge:
1.Choose something kind to do for someone else.
2. Try it out and see how it goes. What happened? How did it feel?
3.You can email us so we can let everyone see what you did! Make sure you let us know how it went and how it made you feel-better, yes?
Challenge #2. Positive Self-Talk Challenge: With everything that is going on, we can sometimes start to get discouraged and we could be having all kinds of challenging or negative thoughts:
"Someone in my family is definitely going to catch corona!"
"I'm not going to see any of my friends until August!"
Here's the Challenge:
1.Pick a negative thought you have had since the corona virus came.
2.Pick a Positive Self-Talk/Growth Mindset statement you can think instead of that.
3.Send your original thought and your new, more positive thought, to Mr. Rivers
Here's a growth Mindset worksheet we have done at school to give you the idea! Growth Mindset Worksheet
