Participants will learn about the impact of past trauma and the impending loss of social capital for students in foster care as they leave the school system, what a counselor or advisor can do to help students plan for post secondary education, and how to get students connected to continued guidance and financial support after high school. Presenters will include former foster youth who experienced transitioning from high school to post high school plans while in foster care and staff from EPIC Ohana, Inc.
