Teacher Information

Ms. Cannon will be starting her third year with Barbers Point Elementary and fourth year with the Hawaii Department of Education. She is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, but calls Oahu her home for now. Ms. Cannon attended James Madison University in Virginia and graduated with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. Throughout her life, Ms. Cannon has always enjoyed being around kids and helping them reach their academic and emotional goals. She has substituted and taught many years at various elementary schools in Virginia. Outside of school, Ms. Cannon enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, hiking, camping, watching sports, and trying new food.
